graffiti wars

I have not properly explained yet who is Banksy (for me, the greatest artist alive)... however I wanted to post this series of pictures about a graffiti war with another urban artis, Robbo.

- Todavía no he puesto un post dedicado a explicar porqué piesno que Banksy es el artista vivo más grandeeeee... Sin emabrgo quería poner esta serie de fotos sobre lo que se viene llamando una guerra de graffitis, con otro artista, Robbo.

Red stairs instalation

Simply fantastic. The stairs are the one from the apartment of the artist, Do Ho Suh. Here you can find more about him.

Sun at Tate modern

For sure, Tate modern is the museum where I have enter more times... and possibly my favourite... Really the building itself was the biggest atrayent for me... and inside the building the Turbine Room...
The first time I reached Tate modern museum (2003) I saw the incredible half-Sun that you can see in the pics and the video, giving this ligth to the room and to the gigant mirror of the ceiling... impressive.

- Estoy seguro de que el museo que he visitado más veces es la Tate modern en Londres. Solamente el edificio ya me hacía querer entrar... Una vieja central eléctrica, con una gran sala de turbinas que se usa ahora para exponer cosas a "lo grande".
La primera vez que entré, en 2003, tuve la suerte de ver una instalación que consistía en un gran semi-sol que se reflejaba en un techo cubierto de espejos y que daba la luz que puedes ver en las fotos y en el video, a toda la sala... impresionante.

Stairway to St. Paul

The guy in the photo is Jeroen Offerman... He is an artist... that made a wonderful short that I watched once in TV. In the video he sings Stairway to heaven of Led Zeppelin backwards. So... when the video starts... he just finished to sing... So when the video finish... he is starting to sing... All is related with an urban legend telling that Stairway to Heaven had a Satanic message...

Jeroen is all the time erasing the video from the internet... this is the reason that is not in youtube... In this post I enclose two links... if you read this and the links do not work... try to look in google his name... and or Stairway to St Paul, the name of the video... Because, believe me, it is worth.


El tío de la foto es Jeroen Offerman. Él es el un artista, el que hizo este corto que una vez vi en Metropolis. En el video el canta Stairway to heaven de Led Zeppelin, al revés. Así, cuando el video empieza, el acab de terminar de cantar... y cuando el video acaba, está empezando. El muchacho no quiere que su video esté libremente en la internet... con lo que lo va borrando, y por eso por ejemplo no está en youtube. Si estás leyendo esto y los links de abajo no funcionan... buscalo como sea... porque merece la pena.
