yodigo: "Reading is overated". For some reason, people overate reading... Lot of people defend the goodies of Literature and "reading" in cultural and non-so cultural conversations... I never heard anyone saying that "see Sculpture, Dance, or Painting" (other three beautiful arts) is good for you... and you or your children should do it more! I consider that one can get lots of culture without reading... even more without reading literature (reading literature is a slow and inefficient method to get it).
But... I have read... and in this topic I have started to recommend books. Today I will recommend a book in case that you like reading too much, because clearly the movie is a lot better than the book.
The case of
Blade Runner (1982) is very clear... the story of the book of Philip K. Dick (
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, 1968) is split into two no very well connected lines... The movie made by Ridley Scott is a Sci-Fi movie, but not only that. The amazing story, together with the design that make that it look in a timeless future (including a touch from Moebious) and the music from Vangelis, made of it a authentic masterpiece. All this make Blade Runner one of my five disordered favorite movies (now, I have other three... and waiting to find the fifth).

yodigo (yorepito): La lectura está sobrevalorada. Por alguna razón (que no logro entender totalmente) mucha gente sobrevalora la lectura . ¿Qué quiero decir? Que considero que uno puede conseguir cultura sin recurrir a la literatura. Nunca he oido a nadie diciendo que ver una escultura, o un cuadro... o danza es bueno para ti, o que tus niños debreían hacerlo, y sin embargo, si no lees... hay gente que piensa que eres un paria.
Como algo he leido, puedo seguir recomendando libros. Hoy te recomiendo este libro solo si te gusta leer mucho, porque la pélicula es muchísimo mejor. Hoy... Blade Runner (1982), basada (libremente) en el libro "¿Sueñan los androides con ovejas con ovejas eléctricas?" (1968).
Esta
película está dentro de mis cinco películas favoritas (no tengo una lista mental de libros favoritos). es uan obra maestra no solo de la cinecia ficción, sino de todo el cine. Ridley Scott, enseña un fúturo que se hace atemporal gracias al toque de diseño de Moebious. La música de Vangelis envuelve toda la película dandole un toque misterioso y tenebroso pero electrónico.
