magnetic fields I

This is the link to the web page of Alvaro M Rocha. He has been remastering several songs form the "Concerts in China" of Jean Michel Jarre (Beijing, Oct 1981). With the remasterization he tried to recreate the stereo sound that people in the concert was listening. Below is the video for Magnetic fields part I, one of my favourite songs.

Mediante la remasterizción ha intentado recrear el sonido estéreo que la gente presente en el concierto estaba escuchando. Numbers Radio Stations

First, I though that they were only an invention form the TV series LOST or Fringe, but it look that they exist and are useful for spies. The number radio stations are short-wave Radio stations that emit numbers (easy)... you can learn more in this wikipedia link (but then you have to read). Here you can find one of this emissions I like his one because is a Jean Michel Jarre one, Magnetic Fields part I. It supposed to be used to separate messages. These spies have a good musical taste.

- Cuando escuché por pirmera vez algo sobre emisoras de números pensé que solo era un producto de la imaginación de los guionistas de Fringe o Lost (o LOH). Parece que no, que las emisoras de números existen, aquí tienes un link de wikipedia si quieres saber más sobre ellas (pero tendrás que leer). Y aquí puedes descargar una de ellas. Esta me gusta mucho porque empieza con Campos Magnéticos parte I. Parece que este tema se usa para separar mensajes, y que esos espías tiene un buen gusto musical.

This is Magnetic Fields, from Jean Michel Jarre, made thirty years ago. The cover of the Album is great (photoshop was not invented until 1987...).

This is the video for Magnetic Fields part II, I love this song... although I prefer Magnetic Fields part I (see more in the next freak post). The video, is crazy, surreal and original.

laser harp

This is a laser harp, in this page you can get one handmade by the owner of the web.
It is not clear if it was invented by Bernard Szajner (that made the one that appear in the video below...) or by Geoffrey Rose, that write a comment in the page claiming that he was the inventor... in 1976!. The video is a part of the best concert of JM Jarre... Paris, La Defense - Lo de la foto es un arpa laser,  en el recibidor de la casa de Stephen Hobley, en este link te explica muchas cosas sobre ella y le puedes encargar que te haga una... aunque igual lo mejor es que veas el video de abajo con uan demostración de como usarla por Jean Michel Jarre en su mejor concierto: París, La Defense.

The Concerts in China

The Concerts in China was a concert tour by Jean Michel Jarre, notable for marking the opening of China to live Western music, in 1981. Five concerts were held in the two biggest cities, for an estimated audience of 120,000 spectators, on October 21 and 22 in Beijing, and on October 26 throug 28 in Shangai. - Los Conciertos en China fueron una serie de conciertos que dió Jean Michel Jarre el año 1981 en Pekín y Shangai. Jarre fué el primer músico occidental en tocar en la "China moderna"-
