Madoz



If you do not know Chema Madoz... you are lucky, because you just met him... and his photos. I think that is the best photographer in the world. He is able to express so many thinks in his photos... I find it amazing. Here you can find more pictures inside his webpage... I strongly recommend a book (the second) about his work from the collection "Obras Maestras" of La Fábrica, a Spanish publisher. I think that this book can be an excellent Birthday present, 1 out 27...

gran formato-big format-

Cuando vas a una exposición de fotografía es muy normal que las fotos estén en "gran formato"...

yodigo: el "gran formato", el "blanco y negro", y el "representar otra epocas" (sobre todo pobreza de posguerra)... le dan a las fotos una "calidad artificial extra" que realmente no tienen... y pienso que algunos se aprovechan de ello...

-If you go to a photo exposition, you will see very, very often that the pictures are massive... the "big format effect"...

I say: The "big format", the B/W, and "show the bad old times" give these pictures an "extra quality" that the photo really do not have... and some artists take advantage of it...
