Dalí and Chupa Chups

I am going to start to randomly give pieces of useless information. Today:

Dalí was the designer of the Chupa Chups logo.

In 1969 Dalí was approached by Chupa Chups to design a new logo. Dalí incorporated the Chupa Chups name into a brightly coloured daisy shape. Dalí suggested that the logo be placed on top of the lolly instead of the side so that it could always be seen intact.

Fue en 1969, y aparte del exitoso logo, Dalí también fue responsable de la idea de poner el logo en la parte de arriba del caramelo para que así fuera siempre más visible y no se deformara.

I made a post about Peters projection map (this), but really my first intention was show you a map with the South on the top. Now I have found two in one.

I disagree with the term "inverted map", I think is only another example of the way of thinking of the northern-occidental...

Madoz

If you do not know Chema Madoz... you are lucky, because you just met him... and his photos. I think that is the best photographer in the world. He is able to express so many thinks in his photos... I find it amazing. Here you can find more pictures inside his webpage... I strongly recommend a book (the second) about his work from the collection "Obras Maestras" of La Fábrica, a Spanish publisher. I think that this book can be an excellent Birthday present, 1 out 27...

"wall - urban art - stop motion"

Blu is a gruop of people that make this kind of "wall - urban art - stop motion" movies. Imagine for a second the time that they need to paint, erase... paint, erase, paint... erase, paint, erase... I love how they set the sound effects with the images and ideas... - Blu es un grupo de artistas que se dedican a hacer esta clase de "arte urbano en muros que convierten en stop motion". Solo piensa el tiempo que pueden estar subiendose a escaleras para pintar, borrar, pintar borrar... pintar, borrar, pintar... borrar. Me encanta como coordnan los efectos de sonido con lo que está pasando en la película.

Fig.1  is gonna be the logo in my next customized t-shirt... It is an idea that have more than one year... but I was saving it for give a "surprise" to a very very very good friend... - La figura uno es algo que tenía pensado desde hace más de un año... estaba reservándolo para una sorpresa a uno de mis mejores amigos...

Fig. 2 is a image where you can see one of the grafities of "the Blind". They make then for blid and non blind people. Zatoichi dance!!!!

Zatoichi is a fantastic movie from Takeshi Kitano. The movie is about a blind Samurai that fight against a clan of bad guys in a village. More movies should end as Zatoichi... with a dance... with a tap dance and music... This scene always make me smile.
- Zatoichi es una pelicula fántastica, de Takeshi Kitano (el creador de humor amarillo). La pélicula va sobre un samurai ciego que lucha contra una banda de tíos malos que aterrorizan un pueblo. debería haber más películas que acabaran como Zatoichi... con un baile como este... con música y zapateos. Esta escena siempre me hace sonreir.

This is a laser harp, in this page you can get one handmade by the owner of the web.
It is not clear if it was invented by Bernard Szajner (that made the one that appear in the video below...) or by Geoffrey Rose, that write a comment in the page claiming that he was the inventor... in 1976!. The video is a part of the best concert of JM Jarre...
